  • Black, Henry Campbell. Black's Law Dictionary: Definitions of the Terms and Phrases of American and English Jurisprudence, Ancient and Modern. St. Paul, Minnesota: West Publishing Co., [periodically updated].

  • LawGuru: Legal Term Dictionary. This Dictionary is based on the 1856 Edition of the Bouviers Law Dictionary. Although the legal dictionary is pretty old, many of the definitions are still proper (since most legal terms in use today were coined well before 1856). This database contains 6,500+ definitions.
