  • Cary Library Genealogy Database. The Cary Library Genealogy Database includes historical genealogical information from Houlton, Maine (USA) and its surrounding communities in the Southern Aroostook County area.
     
  • Coe, Harrie B. Maine Biographies: Vol. 1 & 2. Baltimore, Maryland: Clearfield Company, Inc., 2007, 1928.
     
  • Colonial Massachusetts and Maine Genealogies.  Each of these genealogical lines trace their roots from the British Isles to Colonial Massachusetts, arriving during the 1600s. They settled in towns like Barnstable, Dedham, Duxbury, Lexington, Lynn, Marshfield, Salem, Salisbury, and Watertown. Many of these families continued north to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont during the early 1700s. This site lists genealogical information about over 10,000 individuals.
     
  • 1837 Maine State Census. The original name lists for Bangor, Portland, and most towns, townships, and plantations are at the Maine State Archives in Augusta. The originals for the town of Eliot, York County, are at the Maine Historical Society in Portland. None have been microfilmed.   • Maine Marriages 1771-1907. Name index to marriage records from the state of Maine. Microfilm copies of these records are available at the Family History Library and Family History Centers. Due to privacy laws, recent records may not be displayed. The year range represents most of the records. A few records may be earlier or later.  FamilySearch.

  • Maine Memory Network. The Maine Memory Network is a statewide digital museum that provides unprecedented access to over 10,000 historical items from over 160 museums, historical societies, libraries, and other organizations from every corner of Maine.

  • Maine, Oxford County, Probate Estate Files, 1805-1915. Images of probate estate files located at the Oxford County Courthouse in South Paris. The collection is divided into three parts: 1805-1819, 1820-1899, and 1900-1915. Most of the files are arranged by file drawer number then by name. FamilySearch.
     
  • Maine State Archives. A bureau within the Department of Secretary of State, the Maine State Archives maintains approximately 95 million pages of official State records considered to be permanently valuable. The earliest dates from 1639.

  • Maine, Veterans Cemetery Records, 1676-1918. Card file of veteran cemetery records located at the Maine State Archives. Cards are arranged by war then alphabetical by surname. The index cards may contain dates of birth, death and place of death and burial. The Index covers King Philip's War through World War I. FamilySearch.

  • Maine, Vital Records, 1670-1907. Name index and images of birth, marriage and death returns acquired from the State Board of Health, Division of Vital Statistics and the state archives. Records are organized alphabetically, then chronologically within a name. The collection is divided into three parts, Vital Records Prior to 1892, 80 towns, Vital Records, 1892-1907, and Delayed returns for births, deaths, and marriages, 1670-1891. At present, only the 1892-1907 vital records have been indexed. FamilySearch.
