Heritage Trail Press: Oregon Death Index. This index was
compiled by the State of Oregon beginning in 1903. The index is
not error free and there are many missing death records. The
Oregon Vital Records hopes to correct the situation as time and
money allows. Our database at the present time totals over
153,000 names and we will be updating this index as it is input
and eventually it should include about 600,000 names. We have
completed the input for 1903-1930.
