- As the North American history library for the University of
Wisconsin - Madison, the Wisconsin Historical Society Library
has its books, pamphlets, newspapers, government publications
and other published sources described in MadCat (the
university's catalog).
- WISCAT - The Division
for Libraries, Technology and Community Learning has facilitated
resource sharing in Wisconsin for twenty years with the
production of a statewide union catalog of library holdings
called WISCAT. The current edition of WISCAT, one of the largest
physical statewide union catalogs in the country, contains 7
million titles and more than 32 million holdings from over 1200
contributing libraries. The catalog contains material in all
formats, including books, serials, video recordings, sound
recordings and other audiovisual formats.

Presents archival finding aids describing collections held at
19 repositories throughout Wisconsin.
These finding aids describe unpublished primary resources
held by the above institutions, and in some cases resources held
by other institutions. They serve as a searchable access point
to the archival holdings described. Archival holdings can
include a variety of materials such as correspondence, diaries,
maps, government records, film, photographs, and audio
recordings.
